We want to shine a light and a little sparkle on a great friend of Well Connected, Deb Hoskin and the amazing team at the Horticulture Therapy Trust, a small mental health charity in Stoke, Plymouth. 

We first met Deb during the two periods of lockdown back in 2020. We were truly inspired by their work, supporting adults and children with a range of challenges to support emotional and social wellbeing and building new skills through the power of horticulture in a calm, nurturing and fulfilling environment.

Their work was recently recognised when they received a grant of £200,000 by the National Lottery to support local people experiencing mental ill health – so well deserved!

It’s one of our favourite places to visit, always with a warm welcome and a friendly smile…and truly a space and place to inspire as part of our City of Smiles.
